What should you know before going to Red Rocks Amphitheatre?

Things to Know Before You Go to Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Arrive early, as parking lots can fill up quickly, especially for popular shows. Plan to get there at least an hour or two before the event.

Dress for the weather. Red Rocks sits at 6,400 feet, and evenings can get chilly even in summer, so bringing layers is a smart choice.

Wear comfortable footwear since you’ll be walking uphill and on uneven surfaces.

Stay hydrated. The altitude can make dehydration set in faster, so carrying a sealed water bottle (within venue rules) is recommended.

Think ahead about transportation. Private services like Silver Mountain Express can save you from the stress of parking and provide a safe, hassle-free ride.

Tailgating is allowed in the parking lots before the show, and you can even arrange extended wait time or private tailgating with your driver in advance.

Review venue rules on bags, cameras, and permitted items before you go, as they can change.

Be mindful of the altitude. If you’re visiting from out of town, take it easy to avoid altitude sickness.

Food and drinks are available at the concessions, but lines can get long, so eating beforehand may be a good idea.

Don’t forget to enjoy the view. Red Rocks is not only a concert venue but also a stunning natural landmark worth exploring before the show starts.
